DAY 1: Community Service at Oja Oba Pedestrian Bridge
On 14th December 2021, Queen Luciano Foundation (QLF), an independent public registered non-government and non-profit organization based in the United States with a branch in Nigeria, started out. The first anniversary of the foundation was celebrated in a big way with a community service project and anniversary dinner party.
The community service exercise was carried out on 13th December and it started with all volunteers and staff meeting at Sacred heart Catholic Cathedral Akure at exactly 7:30am, then everyone proceeded to the Oja Oba Pedestrian overhead bridge and commence the cleaning exercise.
The Oja Oba pedestrian bridge is a major link between the two sides of the road and also a market stand for some traders but this beautiful edifies suffers dirt contributed by careless citizens and Queen Luciano Foundation team as part of the anniversary celebration visited the bridge, tidied it up.
It was indeed a moment of joy for all because it’s part of what Queen Luciano Foundation believe in, and everyone that passed there at that moment said a prayer for the staff, volunteers and also the founder of the Foundation and the exercise lasted for 2hours after which the preparation for the next day continued.
DAY 2: Anniversary Dinner and Family Night
The event started around some minutes to 5pm due to some reasons.
The event featured so many activities like: history of the Foundation,Raffle draw, music presentations, highlight of the past projects, a mini fund raising, a toast, cutting of anniversary cake, group photographs lot more.
Some of the guest in attendance are: Former Attorney general of the state ably represented by his Special Adviser Mr Kunle Osasan, Engr Chief and Mrs Victor Ogunsusi, Fr James Ailen Youth coordinator of Don Bosco Animation Centre.
Commissioner for women affairs, represented by her personal Assistant.
