International Day of Education is a yearly international celebration on every 24th of January and it is a day set aside to celebrate the role of education for bringing global peace and sustainable development. The year 2023 which marks the fifth observation of the international day of education, Queen Luciano Foundation celebrated with the students of St. Thomas Aquinas College Akure, Ondo State, Nigeria.
The project was initially scheduled for 24th January but due to the date declared public holiday for the collection of Permanent Voters’ Card by the Ondo State Government, the celebration was held on 25th January.
The team converged at the foundation’s office after a brief address by the manager at 10am, the team mobilized to St Thomas Aquinas College Akure, to sensitize the students on the need to prioritize education. Customized note books of the foundation were presented to students that were outstanding by asking and answering educative and technical questions.
